 Paul Kropp's Death on the Sidewalk is based on the true story of the murder of Jane Creba, a teenage girl caught in a gang shootout on the main shopping street in Toronto. The story has been fictionalized, but the events are still tragic. RL grade 2.8, IL grade 8-12.
